The most popular capsule size varies depending on the intended use and the industry. However, in the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries, the most commonly used capsule sizes are size 0 and size 00. These two sizes are widely available and can hold a range of doses and formulations.

The capacity of a size 00 capsule can vary depending on the density and texture of the material being encapsulated. As a general guideline, a size 00 capsule can hold approximately 0.57 to 1.14 grams (g) of a powdered substance.

As a rough estimate, a size 00 capsule can typically hold approximately 0.12 - 0.22 teaspoons of a fine powder substance.

Size 00 gelatin capsules are made from gelatin, a protein that is obtained from the collagen in animal skin, bones, and connective tissue.
The gelatin used in Capsuline's capsule manufacturing is derived from 100% bovine hide.
